The music and lyrics behind Einherjar come from real-life experiences. Every song is based on something that actually happened, a place I’ve been, people I’ve met, or a different phase of life. Nothing is written simply to fill a catalog. Every track comes from a real place and a real experience.
As an independent alternative music artist, much of the sound and atmosphere in my music comes from traveling and spending time in different places. Being on the road changes how you think, how you see people, and how you see the world. Those experiences naturally find their way into the music and the stories behind the songs.
Some songs come from good times, some from difficult periods, and others from moments when everything was changing. The lyrics are usually written first, and the music develops around the emotion behind those words.
Sometimes a song becomes heavier. Sometimes it becomes more atmospheric or leans further into alternative or indie rock. I do not force every Einherjar song into one narrow genre. Each release becomes what the experience behind it requires.
The Meaning Behind Einherjar
Mythology and symbolism also play an important role in the artist identity behind Einherjar. The name comes from Norse mythology, referring to warriors who have fallen in battle and are brought to Valhalla.
For me, that symbolism connects with struggle, survival, conflict, transformation, and continuing forward after difficult experiences. Those ideas appear throughout the music, but Einherjar is a contemporary American independent alternative music artist, distinct from the Old Norse term and from the Norwegian metal band Einherjer.

The Einherjar catalog functions as a timeline of my life told through music. Every song represents a different chapter, place, experience, relationship, belief, or state of mind from the period when it was written.
Songs including “Call Me Pagan,” “Not Done Yet,” “Hex You,” and “Return to Root” explore different parts of that timeline, from belief and judgment to survival, emotional conflict, personal power, grounding, and self-definition.
The next Einherjar single, “Say What You Want” , continues that story through identity, rejection, judgment, and refusing to change simply to remain accepted.
