Einherjar in Tucson: Building New Connections with Waves the Creator

The Einherjar project has always been shaped by movement, experience, and the people encountered along the way. Right now, another part of that story is developing in Tucson, Arizona.

We recently spoke with Einherjar about his time in southern Arizona, the creative community he has been discovering there, and a developing connection with Tucson producer and audio engineer Waves the Creator.

Einherjar and Waves the Creator are connecting through Tucson's independent creative community.

The connection is still developing, and there is no major collaboration announcement attached to it. What matters right now is something much more fundamental to independent music: artists and creators getting into the same room, exchanging ideas, building relationships, and seeing what develops naturally.

Connecting With Tucson's Creative Community

For independent artists, the music industry can appear more connected than ever. Streaming platforms, social media, video, and direct communication make it possible to reach people almost anywhere.

But digital access does not replace the value of meeting another creator face to face.

During his time in the Tucson area, Einherjar has been getting to know more of the local creative community and connecting with musicians, producers, engineers, videographers, and other independent creators.

One of those relationships has been with Waves the Creator.

“I’m interested in the people behind the music. Sometimes the most important thing is just getting into the room, having a conversation, exchanging ideas, and seeing where it goes.”

That approach fits naturally with the way Einherjar has developed as an independent artist. Instead of treating every new relationship as an immediate announcement, the focus is on building genuine creative connections first.

Tucson Becomes Another Part of the Einherjar Timeline

Geography has played an important role in the evolving Einherjar story.

Different places bring different landscapes, people, conversations, tensions, and experiences. Those experiences eventually find their way into the larger world surrounding the music.

Tucson presents something distinctly different.

The desert, mountains, heat, open distance, older architecture, and mixture of cultures give southern Arizona an identity that is difficult to confuse with anywhere else.

Einherjar says he is still learning Tucson rather than trying to define what the city means to his work too quickly.

“I’d rather experience a place before deciding what it means to me creatively. Tucson feels completely different from other places that have shaped me and the music. I’m still learning it.”

For now, Tucson represents another point on the timeline: new surroundings, new conversations, and new relationships that may influence where the project goes next.

Building Outside the Traditional Music Industry

Einherjar has been built independently from the beginning.

That means the music, audience, visual identity, official website, relationships, and opportunities have all been developed piece by piece rather than through a traditional label infrastructure.

In that environment, relationships with other independent creators become especially important.

A conversation can become an idea. An introduction can develop into a working relationship. A new city can eventually become another chapter in the story.

That is part of what makes the developing connection between Einherjar, Waves the Creator, and Tucson worth documenting even before anyone knows exactly what comes from it.

“I don’t know yet exactly what Tucson will become in my story. But it’s part of the story now.”

What's Next for Einherjar in Tucson

There is more happening around the Tucson chapter than a single meeting or creative connection.

Einherjar continues to meet people within the area's independent creative community while developing the relationships and ideas that can only happen by actually being present in a place.

There will be more to share as those conversations develop.

For now, the important part is simple: Tucson has become part of the Einherjar story.
